Inconel alloy fasteners are used when being exposed to high temperature and high-pressure environments.
They are meant to withstand extreme environments when steel and aluminum would falter in these types of conditions.
Inconel would be able to withstand these types of pressures. When heated, Inconel forms a thick and stable passivating oxide layer protecting the surface from further attack.
Applications:
Since Inconel alloys can withstand such extreme temperatures and environments, they have been exposed to some of the harshest possibilities. Inconel fasteners have been used in rocket ships, submarines, race cars, gas turbine blades and other harsh settings.
A list of the inconel grades we carry is shown below. A few our most popular grades of inconel alloys are 625, 718, and 725.
